IOM and OCIT hold the first Experiential Learning in Tourism Training in Majuro

This three-day training carried out from the 25 - 27 September provided 10 women entrepreneurs with the opportunity to experience local tourism attractions, activities, different types of accommodation offerings and food and beverage options across Majuro. As local visitors, they were able to gain firsthand insight on the industry and what is currently on offer. Group discussion topics included tour guide and hosting skills, customer service and housekeeping processes as well as discussion on how they can apply their new learnings to their own startup businesses in tourism.

Thanks to the IOMDevFund for the opportunity to carry out this novel and important training programme!
