Introduction to our office
The Office of Commerce, Investment & Tourism (OCIT) is the Republic of the Marshall Island's (RMI's) investment, tourism and trade promotion agency with the mandate to promote and facilitate exports, investment to boost economic growth in order to improve the welfare of the people. Is the first point of contact for investors who are exploring business opportunities in the Marshall Islands and tourists wanting to visit. It is also the agency to go to for export assistance.

The Marshall Islands are located just north of the Equator between 4° and 19° North latitude and 160° and 175° East longitude (about half way between Northern Australia and Hawaii). The country of 29 atolls and 5 islands covers just under 1 million square miles (more than 1.6 million square kms) of the Central Pacific and is made up of 2 island chains (Ratak (Sunrise) and Ralik (Sunset)) with a total land area of about 70 square miles (170 sq kms). The Marshallese population is just over 60,000. The capital and main port of entry is Majuro.
